In the Yukon buried surface hoar contributed to another avalanche fatality near Watson Lake. The group of three were doing forest climate research when the avalanche came down near a mine portal and killed the teacher. The Yukon has been having a cycle of avalanche involvements, one reported in the previous Bulletin and others.
